With the support from the innovation and talents importing base on thermodynamic and energy utilization, which is affiliated to the "111 Project" sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Prof. Yingzheng LIU, vice dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, Porf. Shusheng ZANG, director of the Institute of Turbomachinery, prof. Xinqi QIAO and Xingcai LYU from the Institute of Internal Combustion Engine, prof. Changying ZHAO from the Institute of Thermal Energy Engineering, Associate prof. Yonghua HUANG from the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics visit U.S. to present the 3rd SJTU-Purdue Bilateral Forum on "Fluid, heat transfer, combustion" to facilitate the cooperation among SJTU and overseas universities. The faculty delegation from SJTU-ME also visited Stanford University, Princeton University and Stony Brook University in New York to discuss cooperation business with them.

From July 20 to July 21, the 3rd SJTU-Purdue Bilateral Forum on "Fluid, heat transfer, combustion" was held successfuly at Purdue University In U.S. Porf. Anil Bajaj, dean of the College of Engineering at Purdue University, made an opening speech at the Forum. He reaffirmed the achievements have been made in the field of students joint training, scientific research and etc. Furthermore, He said that Purdue University will continue to deepen the international strategy through enhancing the sustainable contact with its partners. The joint training mode has been set as a model for Universities at home and abroad. How to enhance the research cooperation among teachers and students is a major concern for both sides.
