The Ice breaking for SJTU-ME international students has been successfully held on 21st September in Boya Hall, Guangbiao building. Prof Dong Han, special guests Mr John Sherwood and Mrs. Racheal Sherwood, Ms Danyell Chen and Many ME international students attend the activity. The Ice breaking was hosted by Sikander Sheikh.

Under Mr Yubin Cai's organization, the games “Grab fingers” and “Rabbits and tree holes” quickly eliminated the tension and unfamiliarity of the students, and the "Unfortunate" who lost the game would introduce themselves and show their talents. In the team cooperation training, they were divided into four groups, and then choose the captain, design the team badge and display the team culture in the specified time. The fantastic ideas were turned into colors on the white paper with their relationship gradually drawn closer.

During the sharing session, special guest John shared his life experience and suggestions on how to integrate into Chinese culture when he came to China. He has worked at Georgia State University for seven years to help international students adapt to culture and life. Bachelor Moawez Zamir Awan, Master Talha Bin Asad, PhD Taufeeq Abbasi and Khandaker Noman also shared as representatives of the elder students about the campus life and scientific research etc. The subsequent traditional Chinese culture has been rewarded to contest the activity to a climax.

The Mid-Autumn Festival Ice Breaking, organized by MEISU, aims to help international students gain a deeper understanding of each other, quickly adapt to the new environment and experience the fun of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
