Speaker Biography:
Dr. Stefan Elbel received his BS degree in Automotive Engineering from HS Esslingen, Germany, and his MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has over 15 years of R&D experience in advanced air-conditioning and refrigeration systems for mobile and stationary applications. Since 2007 he has been the Chief Engineer at Creative Thermal Solutions, Inc. (CTS). He also has an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he teaches graduate level courses in refrigeration and thermal systems and where he guides the research graduate students at the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Center (ACRC).
