In Spring 2019, ME witnessed the arrival of 32 exchange students from Purdue University, RWTH Aachen University, National University of Singapore, Technical University of Munich, Polytechnic University of Milan, École Centrale de Lyon and other globally well-known universities. On Monday, February 25th, ME held an orientation for these international exchange students, helping them quickly get familiar with the campus life at SJTU.

The International Liaison Office first introduced information on course enrollment, and SJTU volunteers were arranged to help answer the questions about course enrollment from international students. Then, the ME International Student Union (MEISU) introduced the School history and discussed campus life tips to help international students quickly get familiar with the SJTU surroundings. In the near future, more intercultural events will be organized by MEISU for the international students to enhance mutual understanding.
