After the founding of the People Republic of China in 1949, the School was one of the first institutions in the country to offer graduate programs. Currently the School is home to a comprehensive array of graduate programs covering many engineering disciplines, among which are mechanical engineering, power and energy engineering, nuclear science and engineering and industrial engineering

   

Master Degree Programs

         Mechanical Engineering (Click for complete course information)

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was founded in1952 and is one of the first disciplines to have the right to confer master's degree. It covers four sub-disciplines, including mechatronics, mechanical design and theory, mechanical and electrical engineering and vehicle engineering,

During the 2.5 year Master degree program, students must carry out a research thesis in relation with one of the main research directions as follows:

         Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation

         Mechatronics

         Machine Design and Theory

         Vehicle Engineering

Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo physics has six master sub-disciplines, including Power Machinery and Engineering, Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Engineering Thermo physics, Fluid Machinery and Engineering, HeatingVentilationand Air Conditioning Engineering for Gas.

During the 2.5 year Master degree program, students must carry out a research thesis in relation with one of the main research directions as follows:

         Power Machinery and Engineering

         Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering

         Thermal energy engineering

         Fluid Machinery and Engineering

         Engineering thermal physics

Relying on mechanical engineering discipline, the department has the right to confer doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering and master degree in three engineering areas (industrial engineering, logistics engineering, project management).

During the 2.5 year Master degree program, students must carry out a research thesis in relation with one of the main research directions as follows:

(1) Advanced Manufacturing systems; (2) Quality and Reliability Engineering; (3) modern service engineering and operations management; (4) Modern Logistics Engineering; (5) basic theories and methods of industrial engineering.

         Nuclear Science and Engineering (Click for complete course information)

Nuclear Science and Technology is a comprehensive, highly diversified discipline, which combines physics, chemistry, energy, machinery, materials, control and management of a variety of disciplines, expertise and technology, and continue to promote the development of related disciplines.

It aims to cultivate talents with solid theoretical knowledge, broad disciplinary knowledge, and good ability of adaptability and dealing with emergency, to meet the needs in nuclear engineering field, nuclear science field, and nuclear technology applications.

During the 2.5 year Master degree program, students must carry out a research thesis in relation with one of the main research directions as follows:

a. nuclear power plant safety analysis and severe accident research b. theory and experiment of multiphase flow and boiling c. two-phase natural circulation and flow instabilities and passive technology research d. multiphase flow numerical calculation and particle transport calculation e. radiation detection and application technology f. environmental radioactivity monitoring and assessment. Research on digital nuclear planth.  Micro flow and heat transfer.
